Westwood defeats Caldwell in walk-off fashion – Softball recap

Westwood scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to walk it off 6-5 against Caldwell in Westwood.

Caldwell (6-8) gained control early with four runs in the top of the first. From there, Westwood (9-8) would work its way back.

Madison Carrier went 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored to lead the way. Angelyna Rodriguez and Ashley Pontillo added two hits each.

Westwood got on the board in the fourth inning before putting up two in the fifth. Trailing 5-3 entering the seventh, the Cardinals scored three runs to secure the win.
